Zil Rahman
Senior Software Engineer // Calgary, Alberta
I build and ship products end-to-end — UI, APIs, data, and the AI that powers them. Today I architect micro-frontends across 5+ teams at AMA, and I'm technical co-founder of findnaseeb, an in-person, AI-assisted matchmaking platform for the Muslim community.
Selected Work
Matchmaking built around real-life, in-person events — a modern "third space" for the Muslim community, not another swipe-through-profiles app. I co-founded it and built it end-to-end (Next.js, TypeScript, SQLite); each event is curated with AI-assisted invite shortlisting plus a human review pass.
Launched early 2026 · ~200 members in Calgary grown 100% organically (no paid ads) · waitlists open in Toronto, Vancouver & Chicago.
Led migration of legacy billing/POS terminals into a modern micro-frontend architecture, authoring shared production packages used across 5+ teams.
Cut new-app setup ~60% · raised agent transaction capacity ~40% · 65% faster deploys with Playwright regression coverage.
A two-sided marketplace connecting venues with casual workers, with marketplace payments and an admin operations panel.
Owned: backend services, data workflows, and reliability under load.
